Traffic Management
Our local team has detailed knowledge of the Devon area in which your works are taking place
and can apply that knowledge to create a traffic management plan that is tailored specifically to
your project. Our team at Highway Solutions can set up, manage and remove the following:
Worksite design - Set up the worksite in a safe manner adhering to all legislation and
regulations.
● Planning Plan - We will work with you on the set-up and layout of the worksite to ensure
it’s safe and will minimise the detrimental effect on road users.
● Stop and Go Techniques - We can provide ‘Stop and Go’ for static, short duration and
mobile site works. We carry out several different techniques using ‘Stop and Go’ for
controlling traffic on our unique road systems here in Devon. We utilise the local knowledge
of road networks to overcome awkward areas and safely control them.
● Give and Take Traffic Management - We can provide signage to set up a ‘give and take’
traffic flow system around the worksite.
● Temporary Traffic Signals - This includes the set-up and maintenance of temporary
traffic signals to control traffic flow.
● Temporary Pedestrian Crossing - We'll facilitate a safe way for pedestrians to bypass a
worksite which removes a safe place to cross a road.
● Urban Traffic Control - Provide traffic control in built-up, densely populated areas.
● Rural Traffic Control - We can also provide traffic control in sparsely populated areas,
usually on national speed limit roads.
● Road Closure Diversion Set-Up and Removal - We can provide and layout signage
detailing the diversion course for road users to avoid road closures.
● Footway Closure - Provide signage and implement a closure of a footway where
necessary to ensure the safety of the public for the duration of the works.
Asset Management
We can provide dedicated and skilled labour assistance for Asset Management and vegetation
clearance, as well as the cleaning and clearing of drains, gullies, grips, easements, and buddle
holes and culverts. By providing manual labour, we can satisfy our clients’ requirements for a

Weed Control
If you are looking for a company that specialises in the control of weed, we can help you.
Highway Solutions use non-hazardous products to kill off grass and weeds around public
footpaths, walls, and curb lines to improve visibility and minimise trip hazards.
The products we use do not pose a risk to the public and are not toxic to mammals or insects,
but when applied to plant leaves they kill the plants they are used on. Please note that we can
provide this service in both the public and private sectors.
